At a media expert meeting a month or two ago, one participant simply observed that "the broadcasting era is over". His bright vision of the online future also belatedly acquainted me with the notion of "digital natives", the under-30s who have lived in a digital, online world all along.
A Pew report appears to show these digital natives truly coming into their own: the Internet has overtaken newspapers as main source of news among the population at large, and in their age bracket it has caught up with TV as well. But that just happened this year, so what does that say about the concept?
